The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration reports that 65.5% of people with a substance dependence disorder had at least one mental disorder and 51% of people with a mental disorder had at least one substance abuse disorder. This is called a Dual Diagnosis or sometimes a co-occuring disorder. At Manifest Recovery Centers, we provide integrated treatment so both issues can be addressed in the same treatment episode. Evidence now shows that there are far better outcomes if both are addressed simultaneously. At Manifest Recovery Centers we ensure that:
Clients are welcome with co-occurring disorders into substance abuse treatment instead of excluding them because of a psychiatric condition
Clients are given the same level of attention and care during the rehabilitation process
We support the client to understand that both the mental illness and the substance use disorder are chronic, relapsing conditions that require long-term support
We ensure that care is provided by a treatment team that’s trained in addressing co-occurring disorders
Clients are treated with dignity and respect, even if they are in the midst of a mental health crisis or acutely intoxicated.
Our residential program and outpatient programs can address both substance use and mental health. Both levels of treatment consist of a medical team, psychiatric team, a clinical team, case management and peer counseling. We also maintain an outpatient facility to provide a continuum of care. We utilize only evidence-based treatment interventions.
The mental health disorders that we are able to address include:
Social Anxiety Disorders
**We do not treat schizophrenia or eating disorders as both need a very specific form of intervention.
