Deciding to seek help in a residential program is a big step. It is a commitment involving time, money and willingness. At Manifest Recovery Centers, we know that the inpatient residential experience is often the first-time clients have ever slowed down long enough to get to know themselves, their feelings, their bodies, and their families.
Our Los Angeles Residential Treatment Center program and facilities have been designed to support this process. Before the inner work begins a physician, a psychiatrist and psychologist evaluate each client. If detoxification is required, our clients are made comfortable and monitored around the clock by our trained staff.
When appropriate to enter into the program, days are purposefully structured around:
- experiencing and learning new habits and behaviors
- new ways of processing emotions
- new ways of communicating effectively
- practices for living with uncomfortable emotions
- experiences and relationships without relying upon substances that often blunt these encounters
The core therapeutic work is highly individualized and includes only evidence-based therapies. This includes individual, group and family therapy.
These core therapies are enhanced through supportive wellness practices. These include daily practice of mindfulness meditation, healthy eating, exercise, outdoor experiences, yoga and establishing a nighttime routine that promotes restful, rejuvenating sleep. We also work with each individual to help a re-connection to joy. The residential stay is 30, 60 or 90 days.
In some cases, it is appropriate to support a client through Medication Assisted Treatment. When applicable, our physicians evaluate and monitor this intervention while the client is engaged in the holistic care and behavioral interventions.
The treatment planning process establishes a discharge plan from day one. Manifest Recovery Centers believes in evaluating the strengths of each individual to support life-long sobriety. Upon successful completion of a residential stay, our case managers will provide options regarding the continuum of care that is appropriate. This includes involvement in our supportive and active alumni community.
